Spaghetti Pancakes Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups pancake batter (your choice of flavor)
  • 1 cup cooked spaghetti (cooled and slightly dry)
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Cooking spray or butter for the pan
  • Syrup and sprinkles for serving

Equipment:

  • Ziplock bag or condiment bottle with a coned top/lid
  • Non-stick skillet or griddle

Instructions:

  1. Prepare Pancake Batter:
    • In a mixing bowl, combine pancake batter, milk, sugar, and vanilla extract.
    • Mix until well combined and smooth.
  2. Add Cooked Spaghetti:
    • Gently fold in the cooked and slightly dry spaghetti into the pancake batter until evenly distributed. This will create the “spaghetti” element of your pancakes.
  3. Prepare Piping Tool:
    • If using a ziplock bag, cut a small hole in one of the bottom corners. Alternatively, use a condiment bottle with a coned top/lid.
  4. Heat the Pan:
    • Preheat a non-stick skillet or griddle over low heat. It’s important to cook these pancakes at a lower temperature to allow the spaghetti to warm through without burning the pancakes.
  5. Pipe Spirals:
    • Use the prepared piping tool to create spiral patterns on the pan. Start from the center and work your way out, creating a spiral shape with the batter.
  6. Cooking:
    • Cook the pancake until bubbles form on the surface, then carefully flip it with a spatula. Cook the other side until golden brown.
  7. Repeat:
    • Repeat the process for the remaining batter, creating spaghetti pancakes with spiral patterns.
  8. Serve:
    • Stack the spaghetti pancakes on a plate and drizzle with your favorite syrup. Sprinkle with colorful sprinkles for a fun and delightful touch.
  9. Enjoy:
    • Serve these unique spaghetti pancakes to your kids or guests and enjoy the delightful combination of pancakes and spaghetti!

Note: Cooking these pancakes on low heat and flipping them carefully will help ensure that the spaghetti cooks through without burning the pancakes. Adjust the heat as needed to maintain a slow and even cooking process.
