Big Mac Taco with Homemade French Fries

Made the viral Big Mac tacos for dinner tonight 😋 I had all the condiments so for everything else it came out to around $12.
I took some ground beef and seasoned it with salt and pepper, took a tortilla and smashed some of the ground beef onto it. I cooked both sides, added American cheese, then topped it with chopped romaine, onions, and sauce.
For the sauce I used mayo, dijon mustard, sweet relish, a little bit of ketchup, smoked paprika, onion powder, and black pepper
I served with homemade french fries

Big Mac Taco with Homemade French Fries

Ingredients:

For Big Mac Tacos:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 8 small flour tortillas
  • 8 slices of American cheese
  • 2 cups chopped romaine lettuce
  • 1/2 cup diced onions
  • Sauce:
    • 1/2 cup mayo
    • 2 tablespoons dijon mustard
    • 1/4 cup sweet relish
    • 2 tablespoons ketchup
    • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
    • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
    • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

For Homemade French Fries:

  • 4 large potatoes, peeled and cut into fries
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt, to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika (optional, for added flavor)

Instructions:

Big Mac Tacos:

  1. Season and Cook the Ground Beef:
    • In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef, breaking it apart with a spoon, until it’s fully cooked and browned.
    • Season with salt and pepper to taste. Drain excess fat if necessary.
  2. Prepare the Sauce:
    • In a small bowl, mix together mayo, dijon mustard, sweet relish, ketchup, smoked paprika, onion powder, and black pepper. Set aside.
  3. Assemble the Tacos:
    • Heat a clean skillet over medium heat. Place a tortilla on the skillet and spoon a portion of the seasoned ground beef onto the center of the tortilla.
    • Flatten the beef with a spatula and cook for a couple of minutes until it starts to brown.
    • Place a slice of American cheese on top of the beef and let it melt.
    • Remove the taco from the skillet and top with chopped romaine lettuce, diced onions, and a generous drizzle of the prepared sauce.
  4. Serve:
    • Repeat the process with the remaining tortillas and ingredients.
    • Serve the Big Mac Tacos hot, with a side of homemade french fries.

Homemade French Fries:

  1. Preheat the Oven:
    • Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Prepare the Potatoes:
    • Peel the potatoes and cut them into thin fries. Pat them dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
  3. Season and Toss:
    • In a large bowl, toss the potato fries with olive oil, salt, and paprika (if using), ensuring they are well coated.
  4. Bake:
    • Spread the fries in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Make sure they are not crowded to allow them to crisp up.
    • Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, flipping the fries halfway through, until they are golden brown and crispy.
  5. Serve:
    • Remove the fries from the oven and let them cool slightly. Serve the hot and crispy homemade french fries alongside the Big Mac Tacos.
