Edit: a lot of questions about whether can you use a different yogurt. Absolutely
How do you store them? Ziplock bag or any air-tight container in the freezer
Ingredients:
- 2 cups Greek yogurt (you can use your favorite yogurt)
- 1 cup strawberries, diced
- 1 cup blueberries
- 1/2 cup granola
- Honey (optional, for drizzling)
Instructions:
- Prepare the Yogurt Mixture:
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the Greek yogurt with your choice of sweetener if desired (honey, maple syrup, or agave nectar). Mix until it’s well incorporated and sweetened to your liking.
- Add the Berries:
- Gently fold in the diced strawberries and blueberries into the yogurt mixture. Be careful not to overmix to keep the beautiful colors of the berries intact.
- Line the Pan:
- Line a square or rectangular baking dish with parchment paper, leaving some overhang on the sides. This will make it easier to remove the frozen bars later.
- Layer the Mixture:
- Pour the yogurt and berry mixture into the prepared baking dish. Use a spatula to spread it out evenly.
- Add Granola:
- Sprinkle the granola evenly over the top of the yogurt mixture. You can gently press it down with the back of a spoon to make sure it adheres.
- Freeze:
- Cover the baking dish with plastic wrap or aluminum foil to protect the bars from freezer burn. Place it in the freezer and let it freeze for at least 4-6 hours, or until completely solid.
- Chop into Bars:
- Once the yogurt mixture has frozen solid, remove it from the freezer. Use the parchment paper overhangs to lift the frozen block out of the dish and place it on a cutting board.
- Cut into Bars:
- With a sharp knife, cut the frozen yogurt mixture into bars or squares of your desired size. You can also cut them into fun shapes using cookie cutters if you prefer.
- Serve and Enjoy:
- Arrange the frozen yogurt bars on a plate or tray. If you’d like, drizzle a bit of honey over the top for extra sweetness. Serve immediately, and enjoy your delicious and refreshing frozen yogurt bars!
- Storage:
- If you have any leftovers, store the frozen yogurt bars in an airtight container or a Ziplock bag in the freezer to keep them fresh. They should last for up to a month, but they’re so tasty; they might not last that long!
