Toasted Hot Dog Roll-Ups

Toasted Hot Dog Roll-Ups – OMG😱 DON’T LOSE THIS😋

Ingredients…
hot dogs weiners
Any kind of cheese (we always use American cheese on these but cheddar would be good too)
White bread

Directions
Cut a lengthwise slit in each hot dog; fill with a strip of cheese
Place a hot dog diagonally on a slice of bread, roll it to meet, and secure with a toothpick
Place the cheese side up on an ungreased baking sheet.
Bake at 375 degrees F for 12 minutes or until golden brown

  1. Preheat your oven to the temperature specified on the crescent roll dough package. Typically, it’s around 375°F (190°C).
  2. While the oven is preheating, cook the bacon in a skillet or microwave until it’s partially cooked but still flexible. This will make it easier to wrap around the hot dog.
  3. Open the crescent roll dough and separate it into individual triangles.
  4. Place a slice of cheese on each crescent roll triangle.
  5. Wrap each hot dog sausage with a slice of partially cooked bacon.
  6. Place a bacon-wrapped hot dog sausage on each crescent roll triangle with the cheese, and roll them up, starting from the wider end of the triangle. Make sure to seal the edges to enclose the sausage and cheese completely.
  7. Place the roll-ups on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat, seam side down.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven according to the crescent roll dough package instructions, usually for about 10-12 minutes or until the roll-ups are golden brown and the sausages are cooked through.
  9. Remove the roll-ups from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving.
  10. Serve with mustard and ketchup on the side for dipping, if desired.
