Easy pizza pinwheels!!
1 can pilsbury pizza crust
Mozzarella
Pepperoni (we had left over of both sizes)
Roll into a long cinnamon roll looking thing and you are supposed to cut it into 12 but I suck at sizing so I got 14.
Put them on a baking sheet
Bake at 425 I did 14 minutes and we are high altitude
Then I slathered in garlic butter, because why not
Ingredients:
- 1 can Pillsbury pizza crust
- Mozzarella cheese, shredded
- Pepperoni slices (both regular and mini-sized)
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley flakes (optional, for garnish)
- Marinara sauce, for dipping (optional)
Instructions:
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Adjust the temperature and baking time if you are at a high altitude.
- Prepare the Pizza Dough: Roll out the Pillsbury pizza crust on a lightly floured surface into a rectangle shape.
- Add Cheese and Pepperoni: Sprinkle a generous layer of shredded mozzarella cheese over the entire surface of the pizza crust. Add a layer of pepperoni slices, mixing both regular and mini-sized pieces for variety.
- Roll into a Log: Starting from one of the longer edges, carefully roll the pizza crust into a log, similar to a cinnamon roll. Make sure to roll it tightly.
- Slice into Pinwheels: Using a sharp knife, cut the log into pinwheels. Aim for about 12 to 14 slices, depending on your preference and the thickness of the pinwheels. Place the pinwheels on a baking sheet, leaving a little space between each.
- Bake the Pinwheels: Bake the pizza pinwheels in the preheated oven for about 14-16 minutes or until they are golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Prepare Garlic Butter: While the pinwheels are baking, mix the melted butter with garlic powder in a small bowl. Adjust the amount of garlic powder to your taste.
- Slather with Garlic Butter: Once the pizza pinwheels are out of the oven and still hot, generously brush the tops with the prepared garlic butter mixture. Make sure to cover each pinwheel evenly.
- Garnish and Serve: Optionally, sprinkle the pinwheels with dried parsley flakes for a pop of color and added flavor. Serve the pizza pinwheels hot with marinara sauce on the side for dipping.
