Strawberry Flavored Angel Food Cake


  • 1 box of angel food cake mix
  • 1 can (21 ounces) of strawberry pie filling
  • Whipped cream (for serving)
  • Fresh strawberries (for serving)


  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13-inch baking pan or use a non-stick baking spray.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the angel food cake mix with the entire can of strawberry pie filling. Gently fold them together until well incorporated. Be careful not to overmix to keep the cake light and fluffy.
  3. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven for about 35 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the cake springs back when lightly touched.
  5. Once baked, remove the cake from the oven and place it on a wire rack to cool for about an hour. The cake will be very fluffy when done baking and needs time to deflate.
  6. Once cooled, slice the cake into squares or desired serving sizes.
  7. Serve the strawberry flavored angel food cake topped with a dollop of whipped cream and fresh strawberries.
