👉GarlicCheese Bread

Several years ago we didn’t have garlic toast to go with spaghetti for dinner. My husbands creative culinary skills whipped up garlic bread from hot dog buns we had on hand. And we haven’t gone back to store bought frozen bread since.
Split the buns, lightly butter the halves, seasoned with garlic salt, shredded mozzarella cheese and sprinkle on Parmesan cheese on top with mozzarella. Bake 350 5 to 7 mins. I’ve also used fiesta shredded cheese because that is all we had or hamburger buns. Really good and cheap 🤤
I am blown away by the responses! Glad I’m sharing this simple low cost idea for some and that many other have done this in the past. I love getting ideas off this page and was glad to give ideas to so many

Homemade Garlic Cheese Bread

Ingredients:

4 hot dog buns (or hamburger buns)
4 tablespoons butter, softened
2 teaspoons garlic salt
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Optional: additional shredded cheese blend (such as fiesta blend)
Instructions:

Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil.

Prepare the buns: Split the hot dog buns or hamburger buns in half lengthwise and place them cut-side up on the prepared baking sheet.

Butter the buns: Spread about 1/2 tablespoon of softened butter evenly onto each half of the buns.

Season with garlic salt: Sprinkle each buttered bun half with 1/2 teaspoon of garlic salt, making sure to distribute it evenly.

Add the cheeses: Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over each bun half, covering them generously. Then, sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over the mozzarella. If desired, you can also add a sprinkle of additional shredded cheese blend for extra flavor.

Bake: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake the garlic cheese bread for 5 to 7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the edges of the buns are lightly toasted.

Serve: Remove the garlic cheese bread from the oven and let it cool for a minute or two before serving. Cut each bun half into smaller pieces, if desired, and serve warm as a delicious side dish with spaghetti or any other favorite meal.
