Easy Freezer Breakfast Sandwiches
Ingredients:
- 6 English muffins
- 12 slices of cheddar cheese
- 6 precooked sausages
Instructions:
- Start by preparing your English muffins. Slice each muffin in half and lay them out on a clean surface.
- Take the cheddar cheese slices and fold them to fit the size of the English muffins. Place one folded slice on the bottom half of each muffin.
- Next, place a precooked sausage on top of the cheese on each muffin.
- Once all the sausages are placed, add the top halves of the English muffins to complete the sandwiches.
- Wrap each sandwich individually with a sheet of paper towel. This will help absorb any excess moisture and prevent the sandwiches from getting soggy.
- Stack the wrapped sandwiches back into the English muffin bag and place them in the freezer. They can be stored for up to a month.
- When you’re ready to eat, remove a sandwich from the freezer and keep it wrapped in the paper towel. Place it on a microwave-safe plate.
- Microwave the sandwich on high for 40 seconds, then carefully flip it over and microwave for another 40 seconds, or until heated through.
- Once heated, carefully unwrap the sandwich and enjoy! If desired, you can add a fried or scrambled egg to the sandwich for extra protein and flavor.
Pro Tip: When assembling the sandwiches, fold in the corners of the cheese slices to prevent them from melting off while cooking.
These freezer-friendly breakfast sandwiches are perfect for busy mornings when you need a quick and satisfying meal on the go
