👉 Rotel MushroomPenne

I’m always looking for easy recipes!
Well I found one that I love..
Its supposed to have chicken in it, but I opted not to make it with chicken.
**One box of penne pasta (the final pic is of one cup of pasta as I was debating with only using the half of block of Velveeta… gotta save my Velveeta as its hard to find it where I’m at)
**Can of rotel
**Can of cream of mushroom soup
** garlic powder
**Pound of Velveeta (now, I only did half).
Cook noodles like normal.
Add the soup, rotel and Velveeta in a pan with a 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder and blend together.
Once pasta is done, drain water and combine.
Super easy.
I love how cheesy and creamy it is!! I will definitely make this again

Cheesy Rotel and Mushroom Penne

  • 1 box of penne pasta
  • 1 can of Rotel (diced tomatoes and green chilies)
  • 1 can of cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 pound of Velveeta cheese, cubed

  1. Cook Penne Pasta:
    • Cook the penne pasta according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Prepare Cheese Sauce:
    • In a pan over medium heat, combine the can of Rotel (undrained), cream of mushroom soup, cubed Velveeta cheese, and garlic powder.
  3. Melt and Blend:
    • Stir continuously until the Velveeta cheese is completely melted and the ingredients are well blended. Adjust the heat as needed to avoid burning.
  4. Combine with Pasta:
    • Once the cheese sauce is smooth and creamy, add the cooked and drained penne pasta to the pan. Gently toss until the pasta is well coated with the cheesy mixture.
  5. Serve:
    • Serve the Cheesy Rotel and Mushroom Penne hot, and enjoy the creamy and flavorful dish.

Optional Additions:

  • Customize your dish by adding sautĂ©ed vegetables like spinach, bell peppers, or mushrooms for added flavor and nutrition.
  • Sprinkle some grated Parmesan cheese on top for an extra cheesy kick.
  • Add a dash of hot sauce if you like a bit of heat.

  • If you find that the sauce is too thick, you can adjust the consistency by adding a small amount of milk until it reaches your desired thickness.

This easy and cheesy penne dish is a great way to enjoy a comforting meal without the chicken. Feel free to experiment with additional ingredients and make it your own!

Here are some tips to ensure your Cheesy Rotel and Mushroom Penne turns out delicious:

  1. Use Quality Ingredients:
    • Choose fresh and high-quality ingredients for the best flavor. This includes good-quality pasta, fresh Rotel, and a reputable brand of cream of mushroom soup.
  2. Adjust the Cheese Amount:
    • Since you’ve mentioned using only half of the Velveeta block to save it, feel free to adjust the cheese amount according to your preference. If you want it extra cheesy, add more, or if you prefer a lighter dish, stick to the half amount.
  3. Melt Cheese Gradually:
    • When melting the Velveeta cheese, do it gradually over medium heat. Stir continuously to ensure even melting and prevent the cheese from sticking to the pan or burning.
  4. Experiment with Cheese:
    • While Velveeta provides a creamy and smooth texture, you can experiment with different cheeses for added flavor. Consider adding a bit of sharp cheddar or Monterey Jack for variety.
  5. Customize with Vegetables:
    • Enhance the dish by adding sautĂ©ed vegetables like spinach, mushrooms, or bell peppers. This not only adds nutritional value but also contributes to the overall flavor and texture.
  6. Adjust Garlic Powder:
    • Garlic powder adds flavor, but its intensity varies. Start with the recommended amount and adjust to your taste preferences. You can always add more during the cooking process if needed.
  7. Control Consistency with Milk:
    • If the cheese sauce is too thick, you can thin it out by adding a small amount of milk. Add a little at a time until you achieve the desired consistency.
  8. Top with Extras:
    • Consider topping your finished dish with extras like grated Parmesan cheese, chopped fresh herbs (such as parsley or basil), or a drizzle of olive oil for added flavor and visual appeal.
  9. Serve Immediately:
    • This dish is best enjoyed immediately after preparation while the cheese sauce is still gooey and the pasta is hot. If reheating, add a splash of milk to maintain creaminess.
  10. Experiment with Heat:
    • If you enjoy a bit of spice, consider adding a pinch of red pepper flakes or a dash of hot sauce to the cheese sauce for a kick.
  11. Double the Recipe:
    • If you’re feeding a larger group or want leftovers, feel free to double the recipe. It reheats well for a quick and easy meal later on.

Remember, cooking is a creative process, so feel free to tailor the recipe to your taste preferences and enjoy the deliciousness of your Cheesy Rotel and Mushroom Penne
