Spaghetti Pancakes Recipe
Ingredients:
- 2 cups pancake batter (your choice of flavor)
- 1 cup cooked spaghetti (cooled and slightly dry)
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Cooking spray or butter for the pan
- Syrup and sprinkles for serving
Equipment:
- Ziplock bag or condiment bottle with a coned top/lid
- Non-stick skillet or griddle
Instructions:
- Prepare Pancake Batter:
- In a mixing bowl, combine pancake batter, milk, sugar, and vanilla extract.
- Mix until well combined and smooth.
- Add Cooked Spaghetti:
- Gently fold in the cooked and slightly dry spaghetti into the pancake batter until evenly distributed. This will create the “spaghetti” element of your pancakes.
- Prepare Piping Tool:
- If using a ziplock bag, cut a small hole in one of the bottom corners. Alternatively, use a condiment bottle with a coned top/lid.
- Heat the Pan:
- Preheat a non-stick skillet or griddle over low heat. It’s important to cook these pancakes at a lower temperature to allow the spaghetti to warm through without burning the pancakes.
- Pipe Spirals:
- Use the prepared piping tool to create spiral patterns on the pan. Start from the center and work your way out, creating a spiral shape with the batter.
- Cooking:
- Cook the pancake until bubbles form on the surface, then carefully flip it with a spatula. Cook the other side until golden brown.
- Repeat:
- Repeat the process for the remaining batter, creating spaghetti pancakes with spiral patterns.
- Serve:
- Stack the spaghetti pancakes on a plate and drizzle with your favorite syrup. Sprinkle with colorful sprinkles for a fun and delightful touch.
- Enjoy:
- Serve these unique spaghetti pancakes to your kids or guests and enjoy the delightful combination of pancakes and spaghetti!
Note: Cooking these pancakes on low heat and flipping them carefully will help ensure that the spaghetti cooks through without burning the pancakes. Adjust the heat as needed to maintain a slow and even cooking process.
