๐Ÿ‘‰ bestbeans

I just made the best beans ever with only some bacon, a bag of pinto beans, and seasonings they were so creamy and good!
The recipe is one bag of pinto beans or 2 1/2 cups
7 1/2 cups of water
Knorr chicken bouillon powder (I didnโ€™t measure any of my seasonings sorry! It was probably 3 or 4 teaspoons)
Salt
Pepper
Onion powder
Garlic powder
Chipotle pepper
Paprika
About 5-6 pieces of bacon
I rinsed my beans and made sure there was no rocks or bad ones. Then I covered them in the crockpot with water. I added all my seasoning except the salt. I cut my bacon lengthwise and then into chunks and cooked it in a pan with a few tablespoons of water to help it break up. I left it alone and only stirred it every once and a while. Once it was cooked I added the bacon and the grease. I stirred it and cooked it on low for about 8 or 9 hours and then I stirred and tasted it I added a little salt and anything else I felt was missing. I then turned off the crockpot and let it sit for about 45-60 minutes so it would get nice and creamy. If you donโ€™t want to wait you can scoop out some beans and broth and mash them up to add back in. I didnโ€™t soak it or anything before hand and it was absolutely perfect! You could use leftover ham instead of bacon too. I was not home to stir or mess with it at all today and it came out perfect. Nothing burnt or stuck. This picture is from before I let it sit and the broth was much cloudier and creamier after it sat for a little while and it was still perfect temperature to eat
