ONE POT MEAL

Here’s a super simple and budget-friendly one-pot meal that’s ready in just 15 minutes, featuring smoked sausage, broccoli, Knorr cheesy cheddar pasta side, and shredded cheese:

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 of a smoked sausage (or a whole one if you prefer more protein)
  • 1 package of Knorr cheesy cheddar pasta side (or any similar pasta mix)
  • 1 cup of broccoli florets
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your preferred type)
  • Water (as per pasta mix instructions)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil or butter for cooking

Instructions:

  1. Start by slicing the smoked sausage into rounds or half-moons, depending on your preference.
  2. Heat a large skillet or deep pan over medium-high heat and add a drizzle of olive oil or a pat of butter.
  3. Add the sliced smoked sausage to the hot pan. SautΓ© the sausage until it’s nicely browned on both sides, about 3-4 minutes. Once done, remove the sausage from the pan and set it aside.
  4. In the same pan, add the Knorr cheesy cheddar pasta side mix and the recommended amount of water as per the package instructions. Usually, it’s about 2 cups of water, but check the package for specific directions.
  5. Bring the water to a boil while stirring the pasta mix. Once it starts boiling, add the broccoli florets. Reduce the heat to a simmer and cover the pan.
  6. Cook the pasta and broccoli together for the time specified on the pasta mix package. This is typically around 7-8 minutes, but refer to the package for precise timing.
  7. Once the pasta and broccoli are tender and the sauce has thickened, return the browned sausage to the pan. Stir everything together to combine.
  8. Sprinkle the shredded cheese on top of the mixture and cover the pan. Allow it to cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, or until the cheese has melted and everything is heated through.
  9. Taste and adjust the seasoning with salt and pepper if needed.
  10. Serve your super simple and cheesy one-pot meal hot, straight from the pan. Enjoy!

This dish is not only quick and easy but also quite satisfying with the combination of smoky sausage, cheesy pasta, and tender broccoli. It’s perfect for a busy weeknight dinner.
