Nacho Fries

Ingredients:

  • 2 pounds of Walmart brand seasoned fries
  • 1 pound of hamburger meat
  • 1 packet of taco seasoning
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Mexican blend)
  • Optional toppings: diced tomatoes, sliced jalapeΓ±os, sour cream, guacamole, chopped cilantro

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Seasoned Fries:
    • Preheat your oven according to the instructions on the package of seasoned fries.
    • Spread the seasoned fries evenly on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or aluminum foil.
    • Bake the fries according to the package instructions until they are crispy and golden brown.
  2. Cook the Hamburger Meat:
    • While the fries are baking, in a large skillet, cook the hamburger meat over medium heat until it’s browned and crumbled.
    • Drain any excess fat from the skillet.
    • Add the taco seasoning to the cooked meat according to the instructions on the seasoning packet.
    • Stir well to combine and let it simmer for a few minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
  3. Assemble the Nacho Fries:
    • Once the fries are cooked, remove them from the oven.
    • Sprinkle the cooked seasoned fries with the cooked taco-seasoned hamburger meat.
    • Evenly distribute the shredded cheese over the fries and meat.
  4. Melt the Cheese:
    • Return the baking sheet to the oven and bake for an additional 3-5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  5. Serve:
    • Carefully remove the baking sheet from the oven.
    • Serve the nacho fries hot, straight from the baking sheet.
    • If desired, top with diced tomatoes, sliced jalapeΓ±os, sour cream, guacamole, or chopped cilantro for added flavor and freshness.
