Nacho Fries
Ingredients:
- 2 pounds of Walmart brand seasoned fries
- 1 pound of hamburger meat
- 1 packet of taco seasoning
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Mexican blend)
- Optional toppings: diced tomatoes, sliced jalapeΓ±os, sour cream, guacamole, chopped cilantro
Instructions:
- Prepare the Seasoned Fries:
- Preheat your oven according to the instructions on the package of seasoned fries.
- Spread the seasoned fries evenly on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or aluminum foil.
- Bake the fries according to the package instructions until they are crispy and golden brown.
- Cook the Hamburger Meat:
- While the fries are baking, in a large skillet, cook the hamburger meat over medium heat until it’s browned and crumbled.
- Drain any excess fat from the skillet.
- Add the taco seasoning to the cooked meat according to the instructions on the seasoning packet.
- Stir well to combine and let it simmer for a few minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
- Assemble the Nacho Fries:
- Once the fries are cooked, remove them from the oven.
- Sprinkle the cooked seasoned fries with the cooked taco-seasoned hamburger meat.
- Evenly distribute the shredded cheese over the fries and meat.
- Melt the Cheese:
- Return the baking sheet to the oven and bake for an additional 3-5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Serve:
- Carefully remove the baking sheet from the oven.
- Serve the nacho fries hot, straight from the baking sheet.
- If desired, top with diced tomatoes, sliced jalapeΓ±os, sour cream, guacamole, or chopped cilantro for added flavor and freshness.
