Homemade Chick-fil-A Inspired Chicken Nuggets with Seasoned Fries

Serves: 5

Ingredients:

For the Chicken Nuggets:

  • 2.5 pounds Chicken tenders
  • Flour (for coating)
  • 3 Eggs
  • 1/4 cup Milk
  • 1/4 cup Pickle juice
  • Salt, Pepper, Garlic powder, Onion powder, Seasoned salt (to taste)
  • Oil (for frying)

For the Seasoned Fries:

  • 1/3 pack of frozen fries

Instructions:

  1. Preparation:
    • Thaw the chicken tenders if they are frozen.
    • Preheat your oil for frying in a deep fryer or a large pot on the stove.
  2. Prepare the Chicken:
    • In a shallow dish, mix together flour, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and seasoned salt to create the dry mix.
    • In another shallow dish, whisk together eggs, milk, and pickle juice to create the wet mix.
    • Take each chicken tender and dip it first into the dry mix, then into the wet mix, and finally back into the dry mix, ensuring a thick coating.
    • Shake off any excess coating and carefully place the chicken tenders into the hot oil.
    • Fry the chicken tenders until they are golden brown and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes. Ensure the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  3. Prepare the Seasoned Fries:
    • While the chicken is frying, preheat your oven according to the instructions on the fries package.
    • Spread the frozen fries in a single layer on a baking sheet.
    • Sprinkle them with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and any other desired seasonings.
    • Bake the fries in the preheated oven according to the package instructions until they are crispy and golden brown.
  4. Serve:
    • Once both the chicken tenders and fries are cooked, remove them from their respective heat sources.
    • Serve the homemade Chick-fil-A inspired chicken nuggets with the seasoned fries on the side.
    • Optionally, serve with your favorite dipping sauces such as Chick-fil-A sauce or barbecue sauce.
