Cheesesteak Sliders with Steak Fries

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound shaved steak
  • 1 large onion, thinly sliced
  • 6 slices provolone cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 12 slider buns
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Steak fries (store-bought or homemade)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare Steak Fries: If using store-bought steak fries, follow the package instructions for baking. If making homemade steak fries, cut potatoes into desired shape, toss with olive oil, salt, and pepper, and bake in the oven until golden brown and crispy.
  3. Cook Shaved Steak: In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook the shaved steak until browned and cooked through. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  4. Sauté Onions: In the same skillet, add sliced onions and sauté until caramelized and golden brown, about 8-10 minutes. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  5. Assemble Sliders: Split the slider buns in half and place the bottom halves on a baking sheet. Layer each bottom half with cooked shaved steak, sautéed onions, provolone cheese slices, and shredded mozzarella cheese. Place the top halves of the buns over the fillings.
  6. Warm Sliders: Place the assembled sliders in the preheated oven and let them warm through for about 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Serve: Once the sliders are warmed through and cheese is melted, remove them from the oven. Serve hot alongside the steak fries.
  8. Enjoy: Indulge in these juicy and flavorful cheesesteak sliders with crispy steak fries. They’re definitely worth skipping fast food for the night!
