Crockpot Ranch Chicken and Gravy

Ingredients:

  • 3 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 packet of ranch seasoning mix
  • 2 cans (10.5 oz each) of cream of chicken soup
  • 1 box (32 oz) of chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme (optional, for extra flavor)
  • 1/2 cup water (if needed for desired consistency)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish, optional)

Instructions:

  1. Place the chicken breasts at the bottom of the crockpot.
  2. In a bowl, mix the ranch seasoning with cream of chicken soup until well combined.
  3. Pour the ranch and soup mixture over the chicken breasts in the crockpot.
  4. Add the chicken broth, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and dried thyme (if using) to the crockpot.
  5. Stir the ingredients in the crockpot to ensure the chicken breasts are well coated with the mixture.
  6. Cook on low for 8 hours. This slow cooking process will allow the flavors to meld and the chicken to become tender.
  7. Once the cooking time is complete, use two forks to shred the chicken in the crockpot. It should easily fall apart.
  8. If the gravy is too thick, you can add water to achieve your desired consistency. Stir well.
  9. Taste the gravy and adjust the seasoning if needed.
  10. Serve the ranch chicken and gravy over cooked rice, mashed potatoes, or egg noodles. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley if desired.
