Colby Jack cheese. (Or whatever cheese you prefer)
Pillsbury grand flaky biscuits.
Smoked ham.
One egg.
After pulling apart the biscuits & stuffing, use one egg with whatever spices you want to coat front & back. Air fry at 375 for 20 or so minutes until golden brown & crispness of your liking flipping halfway through! Quick, easy & toddler approved! (Brushing with melted butter at the end is optional)

Ingredients:

  • 1 can Pillsbury Grand Flaky Biscuits
  • Colby Jack cheese slices (or any cheese of your preference)
  • Smoked ham slices
  • 1 egg
  • Spices of your choice (such as salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika)
  • Melted butter (optional, for brushing)
  • Cooking spray, for greasing

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Ingredients:

  • Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  • Separate the biscuits into individual rounds.
  • Cut the Colby Jack cheese into small slices or cubes, and cut the smoked ham slices into pieces that will fit inside the biscuits.

2. Stuff the Biscuits:

  • Flatten each biscuit round slightly with your hands.
  • Place a slice of Colby Jack cheese and a piece of smoked ham onto the center of each biscuit round.
  • Fold the biscuit over the cheese and ham, pinching the edges to seal the filling inside. Roll it into a ball shape to make a biscuit bomb.

3. Prepare the Egg Wash:

  • In a bowl, beat the egg and add your desired spices. Mix well.

4. Coat and Air Fry:

  • Dip each stuffed biscuit bomb into the egg wash, coating it thoroughly.
  • Place the coated biscuit bombs in the preheated air fryer basket, ensuring they are not touching each other. Spray the tops lightly with cooking spray.
  • Air fry at 375°F (190°C) for about 10 minutes. Then, carefully flip the biscuit bombs and air fry for an additional 10 minutes or until they are golden brown and crispy.

5. Optional Butter Brushing:

  • If desired, brush the hot biscuit bombs with melted butter immediately after taking them out of the air fryer. This adds extra flavor and a nice shine to the biscuits.

6. Serve and Enjoy:

  • Let the cheesy ham-stuffed biscuit bombs cool for a minute or two before serving.
  • These biscuit bombs are perfect for toddlers and can be served as a tasty snack or a quick meal. Enjoy them on their own or with a side of your favorite dipping sauce!

Optional Tips:

  • Experiment with different cheeses and fillings, such as cheddar cheese, bacon, or even vegetables, to create a variety of flavors.
  • If you don’t have an air fryer, you can bake these biscuit bombs in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for about 15-20 minutes or until they are golden brown and cooked through.
  • Encourage your toddler to participate in the cooking process by helping with the stuffing and sealing of the biscuit bombs (under adult supervision). It can be a fun and interactive kitchen activity!
