Chicken and rice

Dinner for tonight. Chicken and rice.
1 1/2 cups minute rice
1 can cream of chicken
1 can cream of mushroom
1 can cream of celery
Chicken pieces – you can use bone in or boneless
Preheat oven to 350 F. Spray baking dishes with nonstick spray. Mix rice and soup. Place chicken on top. Cover with foil. Bake for 90 minutes.

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme (optional)
  • Nonstick cooking spray
  • Foil for covering

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C).
  2. Prepare Baking Dishes: Spray baking dishes with nonstick cooking spray. You can use one large baking dish or individual ones, depending on your preference.
  3. Mix Rice and Soup: In a large mixing bowl, combine the minute rice, cream of chicken soup, cream of mushroom soup, and cream of celery soup. Stir until well combined.
  4. Season Rice Mixture: Add garlic powder, onion powder, dried thyme (if using), salt, and pepper to the rice and soup mixture. Mix well to ensure even distribution of the seasonings.
  5. Arrange Chicken: Place the chicken pieces on top of the rice mixture in the baking dish(es). Nestle them into the rice but do not fully submerge them.
  6. Cover with Foil: Cover the baking dish(es) with foil. This helps to trap moisture and cook the chicken and rice evenly.
