Sweet and Smoky BBQ Chicken Sliders

Ingredients:

  • 3 large chicken breasts
  • 1 cup hickory and brown sugar BBQ sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 package (12 count) King’s Hawaiian rolls

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Chicken:
    • Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
    • In a mixing bowl, combine the BBQ sauce, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, and honey. Mix well to create the marinade.
  2. Marinate the Chicken:
    • Place the chicken breasts in the slow cooker.
    • Pour the marinade over the chicken, making sure it’s well-coated.
    • Set the slow cooker to low and let it cook for 6-8 hours or until the chicken is tender and easily shreddable.
  3. Shred the Chicken:
    • Once the chicken is cooked, use two forks to shred it directly in the slow cooker.
    • Mix the shredded chicken with the remaining sauce to ensure it’s flavorful.
  4. Assemble the Sliders:
    • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
    • Slice the King’s Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally, keeping them connected.
    • Place the bottom half of the rolls in a baking dish.
    • Spoon the shredded BBQ chicken evenly over the rolls.
  5. Bake:
    • Place the assembled sliders in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes or until the rolls are lightly toasted, and the chicken is heated through.
  6. Serve:
    • Remove from the oven and place the top half of the rolls on the shredded chicken.
    • Use toothpicks to secure the sliders if necessary.
    • Serve the BBQ chicken sliders warm and enjoy!
