Homemade McGriddle Recipe

My kids LOVE the McGriddles from McDonald’s so of course I had to make it for dinner!!! So easy and only costs 16$ for our family of 6!!!
Pancake mix (make small pancakes)
Sausage patties!
Kraft cheese for the sausage patties
Eggs (scrambled or fried)
AND THATS IT!! put them all together and you have a home made McGriddle!! You can also dip your sandwich in syrup!

Homemade McGriddle Recipe:


  • 2 cups pancake mix
  • 1 1/2 cups water (or as per pancake mix instructions)
  • 12 sausage patties
  • 6 slices Kraft cheese
  • 6 large eggs
  • Butter or cooking spray for the griddle
  • Maple syrup for dipping


  1. Prepare Pancake Batter:
    • In a mixing bowl, combine the pancake mix with water according to the package instructions.
    • Mix until well combined and set aside.
  2. Cook Sausage Patties:
    • In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage patties until they are fully cooked and browned on both sides. Remove from heat.
  3. Prepare Eggs:
    • In the same skillet, cook the eggs either scrambled or fried, depending on your preference. Set aside.
  4. Make Pancakes:
    • Heat a griddle or a large skillet over medium heat and add a bit of butter or use cooking spray.
    • Pour small portions of the pancake batter onto the griddle to make small pancakes. Cook until bubbles form on the surface, then flip and cook the other side until golden brown.
  5. Assemble McGriddles:
    • Place a cooked pancake on a plate, followed by a sausage patty, a slice of Kraft cheese, and then the cooked egg.
    • Top with another pancake to create a sandwich.
  6. Serve and Enjoy:
    • Repeat the process for the remaining ingredients until you have assembled all the McGriddles.
    • Serve the McGriddles warm and optionally with a side of maple syrup for dipping.
  7. Customize:
    • Feel free to customize the McGriddles with additional toppings like ketchup, hot sauce, or other favorite condiments.
