Family Classic Tuna Melt


  • 1 can of tuna
  • 1 can of cream of mushroom soup
  • 5 slices of bread
  • 5 slices of cheese
  • Garlic salt


  1. Preheat your oven’s broiler on high heat.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the tuna and cream of mushroom soup until well mixed.
  3. Place the bread slices on a baking sheet.
  4. Spread the tuna and mushroom mixture evenly onto each slice of bread.
  5. Top each bread slice with a slice of cheese.
  6. Sprinkle garlic salt over the cheese to taste.
  7. Place the baking sheet under the broiler and cook until the cheese is bubbly and starts to brown, approximately 3-5 minutes. Keep an eye on it to prevent burning.
  8. Once the cheese is melted and bubbly, remove the baking sheet from the oven.
  9. Serve immediately and enjoy your family’s classic tuna melt!
