SAME VERSION OF THE RECIPE

Ingredients:

  • 1 (2 lb) bag frozen meatballs
  • 3 cups beef broth
  • 5 dashes of Wash-Your-Sister Sauce (or Worcestershire sauce)
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 packets brown gravy mix
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 pack of mushrooms, sliced (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish, optional)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Crockpot:
    • In a large crockpot, combine the frozen meatballs, beef broth, Wash-Your-Sister Sauce, ketchup, brown gravy mix, garlic powder, and onion powder. Stir gently to combine all the ingredients.
  2. Add Mushrooms (Optional):
    • If you’re using mushrooms, add the sliced mushrooms to the crockpot and gently stir to incorporate them into the mixture.
  3. Cook on High:
    • Cover the crockpot and cook the meatball mixture on high heat for 4 hours. This allows the flavors to meld and the meatballs to absorb the delicious sauce.
  4. Prepare Cornstarch Slurry:
    • About 30 minutes before the cooking time is up, mix cornstarch and water in a small bowl to create a slurry. Stir until the cornstarch is completely dissolved.
  5. Thicken the Sauce:
    • Gently stir the cornstarch slurry into the crockpot with the meatballs. Continue cooking for another 30 minutes on high, or until the sauce thickens. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  6. Serve:
    • Once the sauce has thickened to your desired consistency, your Salisbury steak meatballs are ready to serve. Spoon the meatballs and gravy over mashed potatoes or cooked egg noodles.
  7. Garnish (Optional):
    • Garnish with freshly chopped parsley for a burst of color and added freshness.
  8. Enjoy:
    • Serve hot and enjoy your budget-friendly and delicious crockpot Salisbury steak meatballs! Perfect for a hearty and comforting meal without breaking the bank.

Feel free to adjust the seasonings and ingredients to your taste preferences. Enjoy your homemade Salisbury steak meatballs!
