👉 BaconWrapped Chicken

 

One of our favorite cold day comfort meals
I take 2 or more pounds of chicken breast cut up and wrapped in bacon. Line the bottom of my crockpot with the bacon wrapped chicken. Season with salt pepper and parsley to your liking.
Next I take a 16oz can of Cream of mushroom soup and combine it with equal parts of sour cream. Season with salt pepper garlic powder and onion powder. Mix that alllll up and completely cover your chicken. Cook on high for 4-6 hours (I prefer six hours… The chicken just melts in your mouth!!)
Once it’s all done you can serve it by itself. However we like it over egg noodles, mashed potatoes or my boys LOVE it over white rice…

Bacon-Wrapped Chicken in Creamy Mushroom Sauce

Ingredients:

  • 2 or more pounds of chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • Bacon slices (enough to wrap around each chicken piece)
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • Parsley, to taste
  • 1 can (16 oz) of cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • Garlic powder, to taste
  • Onion powder, to taste
  • Optional: Cooked egg noodles, mashed potatoes, or white rice for serving

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Bacon-Wrapped Chicken:
    • Season the chicken breast pieces with salt, pepper, and parsley according to your taste preferences.
    • Wrap each piece of seasoned chicken with a strip of bacon, securing it with toothpicks if needed.
  2. Layer in the Crockpot:
    • Line the bottom of your crockpot with the bacon-wrapped chicken pieces.
  3. Make the Creamy Mushroom Sauce:
    • In a bowl, combine the cream of mushroom soup and sour cream until well mixed.
    • Season the mixture with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder to taste. Stir until all the seasonings are evenly distributed.
  4. Cover the Chicken:
    • Pour the creamy mushroom sauce mixture evenly over the bacon-wrapped chicken in the crockpot, ensuring that all pieces are well-covered.
  5. Cooking:
    • Set the crockpot to cook on high for 4-6 hours. For optimal tenderness and flavor, cooking for 6 hours is recommended.
  6. Serve:
    • Once the cooking time is complete, carefully remove the toothpicks from the bacon-wrapped chicken pieces if used.
    • Serve the Bacon-Wrapped Chicken in Creamy Mushroom Sauce over cooked egg noodles, mashed potatoes, or white rice, according to your preference.
