Summer Sausage Cheese Platter

My lunch for the work week🙂
$6.44 summer sausage
$3.68 cheese (you’ll have leftover cheese)
$4.98 Crackers (you still have 11 packs after)
Add any side I picked cashews
That’s $15 for the week but you also have extra crackers and cheese for next week

Summer Sausage Cheese Platter

Ingredients:

  • 1 summer sausage (about $6.44)
  • 1 block of cheese (about $3.68, you’ll have leftovers)
  • 1 box of crackers (about $4.98, you’ll have leftovers)
  • Cashews (as desired)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Summer Sausage: Slice the summer sausage into thin rounds or bite-sized pieces, depending on your preference. Arrange them on a plate or in a lunch container.
  2. Cut the Cheese: Cut the cheese into slices or cubes. You can mix different types of cheese if you have leftovers from previous weeks. Place them on the platter alongside the summer sausage.
  3. Arrange Crackers: Open a pack of crackers and arrange them on the platter or in a separate container. You can use a variety of crackers for texture and flavor.
  4. Add Cashews: Sprinkle a handful of cashews onto the platter for an extra crunch and protein boost. You can also pack them separately for easy snacking.
  5. Pack for Lunch: Divide the summer sausage, cheese, crackers, and cashews into individual portions for each day of the work week. Pack them in containers or bento boxes for easy transportation.
  6. Enjoy: When it’s lunchtime, simply grab your pre-prepared platter or container and enjoy your Summer Sausage Cheese Platter with a side of cashews. It’s a satisfying and balanced meal that will keep you fueled throughout the workday!

Additional Tips:

  • Experiment with different types of cheese and crackers to keep your lunches exciting throughout the week.
  • If you prefer, you can also add some sliced fruits or vegetables to your platter for extra freshness and nutrients.
  • Don’t forget to store any leftover cheese and crackers properly for use in future recipes or snacks
