Sausage, Potato, and Green Bean Skillet Delight

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound smoked sausage (not from a can)
  • 2 cans whole potatoes, drained and sliced
  • 2 cans green beans, drained
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: 1 teaspoon dried thyme or rosemary for added flavor

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Ingredients:
    • Slice the smoked sausage into bite-sized rounds.
    • Drain the canned whole potatoes and green beans.
  2. Cook the Sausage:
    • In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the sliced sausage until browned and cooked through. This will take about 5-7 minutes. If your sausage is lean, you may need to add a little oil to the pan.
  3. Add Vegetables:
    • Once the sausage is cooked, add the drained potatoes and green beans to the skillet. Stir to combine with the sausage.
  4. Seasoning:
    • Add minced garlic to the skillet and stir. Season the mixture with salt and pepper to taste. Optionally, you can add dried thyme or rosemary for extra flavor.
  5. Saute with Butter:
    • Add the butter to the skillet and let it melt, coating the sausage, potatoes, and green beans evenly. Stir to combine, making sure everything is well coated with butter and garlic.
  6. Cook Until Golden:
    • Allow the mixture to cook for an additional 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally. This will help the potatoes and green beans develop a golden color and absorb the flavors from the sausage and seasonings.
  7. Serve:
    • Once everything is heated through and has a nice golden hue, your Sausage, Potato, and Green Bean Skillet Delight is ready to serve.
  8. Optional Garnish:
    • Garnish with fresh herbs like parsley for a burst of color and added freshness.
