Tear biscuits in 3 or 4 pieces and roll them into a ball
Cook on medium heat for about 12-15 minutes
Quick and Easy Dumplings with Creamy Chicken Sauce
Ingredients:
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- 1/2 cup water (or 3/4 cup if you prefer a soupy consistency)
- 1 can refrigerated biscuits (8-10 biscuits)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Optional: Chopped fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions:
- Prepare the Dumplings:
- Take each biscuit and tear it into 3 or 4 pieces. Roll the pieces into small balls. This will be the base for your dumplings.
- Prepare the Creamy Chicken Sauce:
- In a medium-sized saucepan, combine the cream of chicken soup and water. Stir well to combine and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer over medium heat.
- Add the Dumplings:
- Carefully drop the prepared biscuit balls into the simmering creamy chicken sauce. Make sure to distribute them evenly in the sauce.
- Cook the Dumplings:
- Cover the saucepan with a lid and let the dumplings cook in the creamy chicken sauce over medium heat. Cook for about 12-15 minutes, or until the dumplings are cooked through and no longer doughy in the middle. Stir occasionally to ensure the dumplings are coated with the sauce and cook evenly.
- Season and Serve:
- Taste the sauce and adjust the seasoning with salt and pepper according to your preference. Stir gently to combine.
- Garnish and Serve:
- Optional: Garnish the dish with chopped fresh parsley for a burst of color and freshness.
- Serve the quick and easy dumplings hot, either on their own for a light lunch or with your favorite sides for a hearty dinner. These dumplings pair well with steamed vegetables, mashed potatoes, or a simple green salad.
