KFC mac

Anyone here love KFC mac n cheese?
I’m not the biggest fan but the kids love it so I decided to try and recreate it.
Didn’t use a recipe just threw it together.
I used 1/2 of a 1lb box of noodles
1 bag of this cheese
A good handful of shredded cheddar
And some heavy cream
(I didn’t measure anything sorry just played it by ear)
Boiled the noodles then drained and added the cheese and heavy cream!
Tastes almost just like kfc! And was cheap to make!

Homemade KFC-Style Mac and Cheese

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 lb (about 227g) elbow macaroni noodles
  • 1 bag (about 2 cups) of your favorite cheese blend (cheddar, Monterey Jack, Colby, etc.)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup heavy cream (adjust as needed for creaminess)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Cook the Noodles:
    • Boil the elbow macaroni noodles according to the package instructions until al dente.
    • Drain the noodles and set them aside.
  2. Prepare the Cheese Mixture:
    • In a large mixing bowl, combine the bag of cheese blend, shredded cheddar cheese, and heavy cream.
    • Mix the cheeses and cream until you get a creamy and well-combined mixture. Adjust the heavy cream quantity to achieve your desired creaminess.
  3. Combine Noodles and Cheese Mixture:
    • Add the drained noodles to the cheese mixture.
    • Gently fold the noodles into the cheese mixture until they are well-coated.
  4. Season to Taste:
    • Add salt and pepper to taste. Remember that the cheeses may already have salt, so taste before adding too much salt.
  5. Serve Warm:
    • Heat the mac and cheese on low heat, stirring continuously until the cheese is fully melted and the mixture is heated through.
    • Serve warm and enjoy your homemade KFC-style mac and cheese!

Feel free to customize the recipe based on your preferences. You can also add a dash of mustard or a pinch of paprika for an extra kick. Enjoy!
