Dessert Cinnamon Roll Casserole

Ingredients:

  • 2 cans of cinnamon rolls (17.5 oz each), cut into quarters
  • 2 oz milk
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • ½ tbsp ground cinnamon
  • Icing from the cinnamon roll cans

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350⁰F (175⁰C). Grease a baking dish with cooking spray or butter.
  2. Prepare Cinnamon Roll Pieces: Cut each cinnamon roll into quarters. Set aside.
  3. Prepare Soaking Mixture: In a mixing bowl, combine 2 oz of milk, 1 tbsp vanilla extract, and ½ tbsp ground cinnamon. Mix well.
  4. Soak the Cinnamon Roll Pieces: Toss the quartered cinnamon roll pieces into the soaking mixture, ensuring each piece is coated. Let them soak for approximately 10-15 minutes, allowing the rolls to absorb the flavors.
  5. Microwave Icing: While the rolls are soaking, microwave the icing from the cinnamon roll cans for 10-15 seconds. This will make it easier to pour over the casserole later.
  6. Assemble the Casserole: Transfer the soaked cinnamon roll pieces to the prepared baking dish, spreading them evenly.
  7. Pour Icing Over the Top: Drizzle the warmed icing evenly over the top of the cinnamon roll pieces in the baking dish.
  8. Bake: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes or until the cinnamon roll pieces are golden brown and cooked through.
  9. Serve Warm: Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving. Serve the dessert cinnamon roll casserole warm, and enjoy the gooey, delicious goodness!

Optional:

  • Add Nuts or Raisins: For added texture and flavor, you can mix in a handful of chopped nuts or raisins into the soaking mixture before tossing the cinnamon roll pieces.
  • Ice Cream Topping: Serve each portion with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for an extra indulgent dessert experience.

This dessert cinnamon roll casserole is a quick, budget-friendly, and delightful treat that your family will love!
