Chili Cheese Corn Dog

Can’t believe I never thought of doing this!

This recipe is a game changer, i’m a mom and do this for my kids , they love it, this recipe is perfect for a party and family gathering, where everyone else bring the same recipes, these Baked corn dogs, with the stick , opened up, and filled with chili and cheese. YUMMY. 


i get the mini corn dogs with chili and cheese at Wienerschnitzel . corn dogs are popular and delicious, as soo as you make this you will be wondering  why you didn’t think of this sooner!! the reason i love  these because it’s really easy to make and so simple to put together, for a quick lunch and a delicious dinner for your family, if you have a supper bowl menu items, this will be a perfect option to add, to make the corn dog, just follow the package instruction for cooking it.

Ingredients


8 corn dogs, cooked per package instructions
2 cups cooked chili, divided
1 cup (113 g) sharp cheddar cheese, finely shredded, divided
1 small onion, finely diced, divided
1 medium jalapeno pepper, seeded and finely diced, divided


Instructions
Carefully remove the wooden stick from the cooked corn dogs.
Slice each corn dog vertically down the center, about halfway through, being careful not to cut through all the way through the bottom.
Into the cut, add chili, cheese, onion, and jalapeno.


Serve warm: 

these corn dogs could be served as a main course or as an appetizer, depending on the size. If they are being served as the main course, serve them with a side of macaroni and cheese, potato nachos….

For toppings there are a lot of option, you are free to choose whatever you like, ketchup, mustard, hot sauce,  Fritos jalapenos, pickles,  nacho sauce….
