Mom’s Budget Birthday Cookie Cake

Ingredients:

  • 1 package rolled out sugar cookie dough (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 cup marshmallow fluff or marshmallow puff
  • 1/2 cup butterscotch chips
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chip morsels
  • 1/4 cup Heath candy pieces
  • 1/4 cup M&Ms or your favorite colorful candies

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare the sugar cookie dough as per the package or your homemade recipe. Roll out the dough evenly into a large, round cookie shape on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  3. Bake the sugar cookie for about 10 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden. Remove from the oven and let it cool almost completely.
  4. Once the cookie has cooled slightly, spread a generous layer of marshmallow fluff or puff evenly over the surface, leaving a small border around the edges.
  5. Sprinkle the butterscotch chips, chocolate chip morsels, Heath candy pieces, and M&Ms (or your preferred candies) over the marshmallow layer.
  6. Place the cookie back in the oven, this time set at 325°F (160°C), for about 5 minutes or until the marshmallow is slightly melted, and the candies are just beginning to soften.
  7. Remove the cookie cake from the oven and let it cool completely before slicing and serving.
  8. Enjoy your delicious and budget-friendly birthday cookie cake! Feel free to customize with your favorite toppings and make it a special treat for any occasion.
