Strawberries and Cream Delight

Strawberries and Cream Delight

Ingredients:

  • 1 can (14 ounces) condensed milk
  • 1 can (12 ounces) evaporated milk
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 2 pints fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Cream Mixture:
    • In a large mixing bowl, combine the condensed milk and evaporated milk.
    • Add the sour cream to the bowl and whisk until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
    • Stir in the vanilla extract, ensuring it’s evenly distributed throughout the mixture.
  2. Chill the Cream Mixture:
    • Place the cream mixture in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour to chill. This allows the flavors to meld and the mixture to thicken slightly.
  3. Prepare the Strawberries:
    • While the cream mixture is chilling, wash and hull the fresh strawberries.
    • Slice the strawberries into bite-sized pieces, ensuring they are evenly cut.
  4. Assemble the Dessert:
    • Once the cream mixture has chilled, take it out of the refrigerator.
    • In serving glasses or bowls, layer the sliced strawberries with the cream mixture. Start with a layer of strawberries, followed by a generous spoonful of the cream mixture. Repeat until the glass is filled, finishing with a dollop of the cream on top.
  5. Garnish (Optional):
    • Garnish the top with a whole strawberry or a mint leaf for a fresh and decorative touch.
  6. Serve and Enjoy:
    • Serve the strawberries and cream delight immediately or refrigerate until ready to serve. The chilled dessert is a delightful combination of sweet, creamy, and fruity flavors.

This strawberries and cream delight is a perfect treat for warm days or any special occasion. The combination of the rich creaminess from the condensed milk and sour cream, along with the freshness of ripe strawberries, creates a delightful and indulgent dessert. Enjoy!
