S’mores Mini Pies Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 package of refrigerated pie crusts (2 crusts)
- 1 cup of chocolate chips (semi-sweet or milk chocolate)
- 1 cup of mini marshmallows
- 1/2 cup of crushed graham crackers
- 1/4 cup of unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tablespoon of granulated sugar (for dusting)
Instructions:
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare the Pie Crusts: Allow the refrigerated pie crusts to come to room temperature as per the package instructions. Roll out each crust on a lightly floured surface.
- Cut into Mini Pie Rounds: Using a round cookie cutter or a glass, cut out circles from the pie crusts. Press each circle into the cups of a mini muffin tin, forming mini pie crusts.
- Prepare the S’mores Filling: In a bowl, mix the chocolate chips, mini marshmallows, and crushed graham crackers. Toss them together until evenly combined.
- Fill the Mini Pies: Spoon the s’mores filling mixture into each mini pie crust, filling them to the top.
- Seal the Pies: Cut out smaller circles or shapes from the remaining pie crust to create tops for the mini pies. Place these on top of the filled mini pies and press the edges to seal, creating mini pie lids.
- Brush with Melted Butter: Brush the tops of each mini pie with melted butter.
- Sprinkle with Sugar: Sprinkle a little granulated sugar over the tops of the mini pies for a sweet, golden finish.
- Bake: Place the mini pies in the preheated oven and bake for approximately 8 minutes, or until the crusts are golden brown.
- Broil for Toasted Marshmallows: If desired, turn on the broiler for 1-2 minutes to toast the marshmallows on top of the mini pies. Keep a close eye on them to prevent burning.
- Cool and Serve: Allow the mini pies to cool slightly before removing them from the muffin tin. Serve them warm and enjoy these delightful S’mores Mini Pies!
Note: The baking time may vary depending on your oven, so keep an eye on the mini pies to prevent overcooking. Adjust the broiling time based on your preference for marshmallow toasting.
