CherryDump Cake

Whipped Cherry Cream Dump Cake Recipe 🍒

  • 2 cans (21 ounces each) of cherry pie filling (or any other fruit pie filling of your choice)
  • 1 container (8 ounces) of Philadelphia whipped cream cheese
  • 1 stick (1/2 cup) of unsalted butter
  • 1 box of white cake mix

  1. Preheat the Oven:
    • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease the Dish:
    • Grease a baking dish with butter or cooking spray to prevent sticking.
  3. Prepare the Filling:
    • Empty the two cans of cherry pie filling into the greased baking dish, spreading it evenly.
  4. Add Creamy Delight:
    • Take teaspoon dollops of the whipped cream cheese and distribute them over the pie filling. You can create a marble effect by gently swirling the cream cheese into the cherries.
  5. Melt Butter and Mix with Cake:
    • In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the stick of butter. Once melted, combine it with the white cake mix until you get a crumbly texture. This will serve as the delicious, buttery topping for your dump cake.
  6. Create the Crumbly Topping:
    • Sprinkle the crumbled cake mix evenly over the cherry and cream cheese layer. Ensure that the topping covers the entire surface.
  7. Bake to Perfection:
    • Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 30-40 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the filling is bubbly. Keep an eye on it to prevent over-browning.
  8. Serve and Enjoy:
    • Allow the dump cake to cool for a bit before serving. This delightful dessert can be enjoyed on its own or with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for an extra treat.

  • Feel free to experiment with different pie fillings to create variations of this dump cake. Whether it’s peach, blueberry, or apple, the choice is yours!
  • You can also add a sprinkle of chopped nuts or a dash of cinnamon to enhance the flavor profile. Get creative and make it your own
