Mom’s Budget Birthday Cookie Cake
Ingredients:
- 1 package rolled out sugar cookie dough (store-bought or homemade)
- 1 cup marshmallow fluff or marshmallow puff
- 1/2 cup butterscotch chips
- 1/2 cup chocolate chip morsels
- 1/4 cup Heath candy pieces
- 1/4 cup M&Ms or your favorite colorful candies
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare the sugar cookie dough as per the package or your homemade recipe. Roll out the dough evenly into a large, round cookie shape on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake the sugar cookie for about 10 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden. Remove from the oven and let it cool almost completely.
- Once the cookie has cooled slightly, spread a generous layer of marshmallow fluff or puff evenly over the surface, leaving a small border around the edges.
- Sprinkle the butterscotch chips, chocolate chip morsels, Heath candy pieces, and M&Ms (or your preferred candies) over the marshmallow layer.
- Place the cookie back in the oven, this time set at 325°F (160°C), for about 5 minutes or until the marshmallow is slightly melted, and the candies are just beginning to soften.
- Remove the cookie cake from the oven and let it cool completely before slicing and serving.
- Enjoy your delicious and budget-friendly birthday cookie cake! Feel free to customize with your favorite toppings and make it a special treat for any occasion.
