Quick and easy breakfast

Quick and easy breakfast my kids requested today.

This recipe makes them fluffy and delicious!
Two cans of pillsbury cinnamon rolls
Heavy cream (cover the bottom)
1 stick melted butter and 1/2 cup brown sugar – mix together and pour over the cinnamon rolls.
Bake at 350 for 30 minutes or until done.
When done, take the icing that came with the cinnamon rolls and spread it on the rolls and serve. (We added more cream cheese frosting on top that we had on hand)

Ingredients:

  • 2 cans of Pillsbury cinnamon rolls
  • Heavy cream (enough to cover the bottom of the baking dish)
  • 1 stick of unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • Additional cream cheese frosting (optional, for extra indulgence)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare the Baking Dish: Grease a baking dish and pour a layer of heavy cream to cover the bottom. The cream will add richness and moisture to the cinnamon rolls.
  3. Prepare the Cinnamon Rolls: Open the Pillsbury cinnamon roll cans and arrange the rolls evenly in the prepared baking dish, nestled in the cream.
  4. Prepare the Brown Sugar Glaze: In a mixing bowl, combine the melted butter and brown sugar. Mix until the brown sugar is completely dissolved in the butter, creating a delicious glaze.
  5. Pour the Glaze Over the Cinnamon Rolls: Evenly pour the buttery brown sugar glaze over the arranged cinnamon rolls. Make sure each roll is generously coated with the mixture. The glaze will seep into the rolls as they bake, making them sweet and gooey.
  6. Bake to Perfection: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for about 30 minutes or until the cinnamon rolls are golden brown and cooked through. The aroma of cinnamon and caramelized sugar will fill your kitchen.
  7. Icing and Serving: Once the cinnamon rolls are done baking, remove them from the oven. Use the icing that came with the cinnamon rolls to spread over the warm rolls. This will create a sweet and creamy topping. If you desire an extra decadent touch, spread a bit of additional cream cheese frosting on top while the rolls are still warm.
  8. Serve and Enjoy: Allow the rolls to cool slightly, but serve them warm. The fluffy, gooey, and utterly delightful cinnamon rolls are best enjoyed fresh from the oven.
  9. Optional Garnish: If you want to elevate your cinnamon rolls further, consider sprinkling chopped nuts (such as pecans or walnuts) or a dusting of cinnamon powder on top of the cream cheese frosting before serving. This adds texture and a nutty flavor to complement the sweetness of the rolls.
