Homemade Cinnamelt Biscuits

Ingredients:

For the biscuits:

  • 1 can (16.3 oz) refrigerated biscuits (such as Pillsbury Grands!®)
  • 4 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

For the icing:

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 2-3 tablespoons milk
  • Optional: additional cinnamon and brown sugar to taste

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar and cinnamon until well combined. Set aside.
  3. Open the can of biscuits and cut each biscuit into 4 pieces. Roll each piece into the brown sugar cinnamon mixture until coated evenly.
  4. Place the coated biscuit pieces into the prepared baking dish.
  5. Drizzle the melted butter over the top of the biscuit pieces in the baking dish.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown and cooked through.
  7. While the biscuits are baking, prepare the icing. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, vanilla extract, melted butter, and milk until smooth. Adjust the consistency by adding more milk if needed.
  8. Optional: For a more authentic Cinnamelts flavor, add a sprinkle of cinnamon and brown sugar to the icing and mix well.
  9. Once the biscuits are done baking, remove them from the oven and allow them to cool slightly.
  10. Drizzle the icing over the warm biscuits. Serve and enjoy your homemade Cinnamelts-inspired biscuits!

Feel free to adjust the amounts of cinnamon, brown sugar, and icing ingredients to suit your taste preferences. Enjoy your nostalgic treat!
