Crockpot Ranch Chicken and Gravy
Ingredients:
- 3 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 packet of ranch seasoning mix
- 2 cans (10.5 oz each) of cream of chicken soup
- 1 box (32 oz) of chicken broth
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme (optional, for extra flavor)
- 1/2 cup water (if needed for desired consistency)
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish, optional)
Instructions:
- Place the chicken breasts at the bottom of the crockpot.
- In a bowl, mix the ranch seasoning with cream of chicken soup until well combined.
- Pour the ranch and soup mixture over the chicken breasts in the crockpot.
- Add the chicken broth, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and dried thyme (if using) to the crockpot.
- Stir the ingredients in the crockpot to ensure the chicken breasts are well coated with the mixture.
- Cook on low for 8 hours. This slow cooking process will allow the flavors to meld and the chicken to become tender.
- Once the cooking time is complete, use two forks to shred the chicken in the crockpot. It should easily fall apart.
- If the gravy is too thick, you can add water to achieve your desired consistency. Stir well.
- Taste the gravy and adjust the seasoning if needed.
- Serve the ranch chicken and gravy over cooked rice, mashed potatoes, or egg noodles. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley if desired.
