Cinnamon-Sugar Rice Cereal Delight
Ingredients:
2 cups cooked plain rice
2 cups warm milk
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 tablespoons sugar (adjust to taste)
Optional: A dash of vanilla extract for extra flavor
Instructions:
Prepare the Rice:
Cook the rice according to package instructions or using your preferred method. Make sure the rice is cooked until it’s soft and fluffy.
Warm the Milk:
In a saucepan, heat the milk over medium heat until it’s warm. Be careful not to bring it to a boil; you just want it to be comfortably warm.
Combine Rice and Milk:
Add the cooked rice to the warm milk, stirring gently to combine. The warmth of the milk will help the rice absorb the liquid, creating a creamy texture.
Add Cinnamon and Sugar:
Sprinkle ground cinnamon evenly over the rice and milk mixture. Stir in the sugar as well. Adjust the amount of sugar to your liking; you can always add more later if needed.
Optional: Vanilla Extract:
For an extra layer of flavor, you can add a dash of vanilla extract to the mixture. Stir well to incorporate.
Simmer and Serve:
Allow the mixture to simmer for a few minutes over low heat, stirring occasionally. This helps the flavors meld together and ensures the cereal is heated through.
Taste and Adjust:
Taste the cereal and adjust the sweetness or cinnamon levels if necessary. Everyone’s preference is different, so make it just the way you like it.
Serve Warm:
Once the cereal reaches your desired consistency and flavor, remove it from the heat. Spoon it into bowls and enjoy your comforting and nostalgic Cinnamon-Sugar Rice Cereal!
