Sausage and Cheese Breakfast Sandwiches

Ingredients:

  • 8 sausage patties
  • 4 slices of cheese
  • 4 English muffins
  • Optional: ketchup, mustard, or preferred condiments

Instructions:

  1. Cook the Sausage Patties: Place the sausage patties on a skillet over medium heat. Cook them for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until they are fully cooked and browned.
  2. Prepare the English Muffins: Slice the English muffins in half and lightly toast them either in a toaster or on a skillet.
  3. Assemble the Sandwiches: Once the sausage patties are cooked, place a slice of cheese on each patty while they’re still hot. This allows the cheese to melt slightly. Then, place each sausage patty with melted cheese on the bottom half of an English muffin.
  4. Cool and Wrap: Allow the assembled sandwiches to cool for a few minutes. Once cooled, individually wrap each sandwich in plastic wrap.
  5. Freeze: Place the wrapped sandwiches in a freezer bag, ensuring they’re well-sealed to prevent freezer burn. Label the bag with the date for future reference.
  6. Reheating: When ready to eat, simply remove a sandwich from the freezer, unwrap it, and place it on a microwave-safe plate. Microwave on high for 1-2 minutes, or until heated through. Optionally, add condiments like ketchup or mustard before enjoying.
