Garlic Butter Freezer Bread
Ingredients:
1 or 2 $1 bakery loaves of bread (from Walmart or any local bakery)
1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
4-5 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 cup fresh parsley, finely chopped
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
Prepare the Garlic Butter:
In a mixing bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, salt, and pepper.
Mix until well combined, creating a flavorful garlic butter spread.
Slice the Bread:
Slice the bakery loaves into individual slices, ensuring they are not too thick for easy reheating.
Spread the Garlic Butter:
Generously spread the garlic butter on one side of each bread slice. Make sure to cover the entire surface.
Freeze the Bread:
Place the garlic buttered bread slices on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Place the baking sheet in the freezer for a couple of hours or until the slices are firm.
Store in Bags:
Once the slices are frozen, transfer them into resealable plastic bags, separating each slice with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
Label and Date:
Label the bags with the date and contents for easy identification later.
Reheating:
When ready to use, preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Place the frozen slices directly on the oven rack or a baking sheet.
