1lb chicken thighs.
1 block cream cheese.
1 packet ranch seasoning.
1 bag of tatertots.
Put the chicken in the crockpot with the ranch seasoning and cream cheese. Then shredded the chicken once cooked add put it on top of the tater tots! Used what I had and it turned out amazing. Definitely will have it again even if were not on a budget
Crockpot Ranch Chicken and Tater Tot Bake
Ingredients:
- 1 lb chicken thighs, boneless and skinless
- 1 block (8 oz) cream cheese
- 1 packet ranch seasoning
- 1 bag (about 32 oz) frozen tater tots
Instructions:
- Place the chicken thighs in the crockpot.
- Sprinkle the ranch seasoning over the chicken.
- Cut the cream cheese into chunks and place them on top of the chicken.
- Cover the crockpot and cook on low for 4-6 hours or until the chicken is cooked through and easily shreddable.
- Once the chicken is cooked, use two forks to shred it directly in the crockpot, mixing it with the cream cheese and ranch seasoning until well combined.
- Preheat your oven according to the tater tot package instructions.
- Transfer the shredded chicken mixture to a baking dish.
- Arrange the frozen tater tots on top of the chicken mixture in an even layer.
- Bake in the preheated oven according to the tater tot package instructions or until the tots are golden brown and crispy.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving.
Optional toppings or variations:
- Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top of the tater tots before baking for an extra cheesy twist.
- Garnish with chopped green onions or fresh parsley before serving.
- Serve with a side of sour cream or your favorite dipping sauce.
