1lb chicken thighs.
1 block cream cheese.
1 packet ranch seasoning.
1 bag of tatertots.
Put the chicken in the crockpot with the ranch seasoning and cream cheese. Then shredded the chicken once cooked add put it on top of the tater tots! Used what I had and it turned out amazing. Definitely will have it again even if were not on a budget

Creamy Ranch Chicken Tater Tot Bake


  • 1 lb chicken thighs, boneless and skinless
  • 1 block (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning
  • 1 bag (about 2 lbs) tater tots


  1. Place the chicken thighs in the slow cooker.
  2. Sprinkle the ranch seasoning evenly over the chicken.
  3. Cut the cream cheese into chunks and place them on top of the chicken.
  4. Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours until the chicken is tender and easily shreds with a fork.
  5. About 30 minutes before serving, preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  6. While the oven is heating, spread the tater tots in a single layer on a baking sheet.
  7. Once the chicken is fully cooked, shred it using two forks and mix it well with the creamy ranch sauce in the slow cooker.
  8. In a baking dish, spread the shredded chicken and ranch mixture evenly.
  9. Carefully place the tater tots on top of the chicken mixture, forming an even layer.
  10. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the tater tots are golden brown and crispy.
  11. Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
  12. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley or green onions if desired.

Note: Feel free to add shredded cheddar cheese on top during the last 5 minutes of baking for an extra cheesy twist.
