Creamy Cafeteria Noodles

Ingredients:

  • 1 quart (4 cups) chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon Better Than Bouillon paste or 2 tablespoons chicken bouillon powder
  • 1 (10.5 oz) can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 (12 oz) bag egg noodles
  • 1 stick (1/2 cup) unsalted butter

Instructions:

  1. In a large pot, bring the chicken broth to a boil over medium-high heat.
  2. Stir in the Better Than Bouillon paste or chicken bouillon powder until dissolved.
  3. Add the entire bag of egg noodles and the can of cream of chicken soup to the boiling broth. Stir well to combine.
  4. Let the noodles and soup mixture boil for about 2 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Remove the pot from the heat and add the stick of butter to the noodles. Cover the pot and let it sit for about 20 minutes, allowing the butter to melt and the noodles to soften.
  6. After 20 minutes, uncover the pot and give the noodles a good stir to mix everything together evenly.
  7. Serve the creamy cafeteria noodles hot as a delicious and comforting meal!

Enjoy your creamy cafeteria noodles, and I’m glad to hear your kids love them
