Recipe: Cheesy Taco Dip
Ingredients:
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 8 oz sour cream
- 16 oz salsa (mild, medium, or hot, according to preference)
- 1 packet taco seasoning
- Toppings of choice: shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, sliced olives, diced onions, shredded cheese, jalapeños, cilantro, avocado, etc.
- Tortilla chips, for serving
Instructions:
- In a large mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, sour cream, salsa, and taco seasoning. Mix well until all ingredients are fully incorporated and smooth.
- Once the mixture is well combined, taste and adjust seasoning if necessary. You can add more taco seasoning for extra flavor, if desired.
- Prepare your serving dish. You can use a shallow dish or a deep bowl depending on your preference.
- Pour the taco dip mixture into the serving dish, spreading it out evenly with a spatula.
- Now, it’s time to add the toppings! Sprinkle your choice of toppings generously over the taco dip mixture. Get creative and layer them as you like.
- Once you’ve added all your desired toppings, cover the serving dish with plastic wrap or a lid.
- Place the taco dip in the refrigerator to chill for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
- When ready to serve, remove the chilled taco dip from the refrigerator and place it on your serving table.
- Surround the taco dip with tortilla chips for dipping.
