- 1 can (about 15 oz) refried beans
- 1 pint sour cream
- 1 large tomato, diced
- 1 green onion, chopped (green part only)
- 1/2 bag (about 4 oz) shredded cheese of your choice
- 1 bag of tortilla chips
Instructions:
- Start by evenly spreading the refried beans on a microwave-safe serving plate.
- Next, spread the sour cream over the layer of refried beans.
- Sprinkle the diced tomato evenly over the sour cream layer.
- Scatter the chopped green onion on top of the tomato layer.
- Finally, sprinkle the shredded cheese generously over the entire dish.
- Place the plate in the microwave and heat on high for about 1 minute, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Carefully remove the plate from the microwave (it will be hot!), and let it cool for a minute or two.
- Serve immediately with tortilla chips for dipping.
Tips:
- You can customize this dip by adding other ingredients like sliced black olives, diced jalapeños, or chopped cilantro.
- If you prefer a spicier dip, mix some salsa or hot sauce into the refried beans before spreading them on the plate.
- Make sure to use oven-safe plates if you want to bake this dip in the oven instead of microwaving it. Simply preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for about 10-15 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- This dip is perfect for parties and gatherings, as it’s easy to make and always a crowd-pleaser! Enjoy
