Burger and Beans Casserole
Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 family-sized can (about 22 oz) of cream of mushroom soup
- Half a can (about 6 oz) of milk
- 3 cans (about 14.5 oz each) of green beans, drained
- Mashed potatoes or egg noodles, for serving
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Add chopped onions and minced garlic, and season with salt and pepper. Cook until the onions are translucent and the beef is browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat if needed.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the cream of mushroom soup with half a can of milk. Stir until smooth and well combined.
- In a large casserole dish, spread the cooked ground beef mixture evenly across the bottom.
- Layer the drained green beans over the ground beef.
- Pour the cream of mushroom soup mixture over the green beans, ensuring they are evenly coated.
- Cover the casserole dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, until heated through and bubbling.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes until the top is slightly golden.
- Serve the burger and beans casserole hot over a bed of mashed potatoes or cooked egg noodles.
