On-the-Go Stacked Slider Sandwiches
Ingredients:
- 1 package of 12 or 24 count rolls (e.g., Kings Hawaiian)
- Assorted deli meats (turkey, ham, roast beef, etc.)
- Cheese slices (cheddar, Swiss, provolone, etc.)
- Condiments (mayonnaise, mustard, etc.)
- Optional toppings (lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, etc.)
- Ziplock gallon freezer bag
Instructions:
- Prepare the Rolls:
- Do not break the rolls apart. Instead, carefully slice them horizontally as a single unit.
- Place the bottom half of the sliced rolls back into the original paper tray that came with the rolls.
- Layering:
- Begin layering your favorite deli meats on the bottom half of the rolls.
- Add a layer of cheese slices on top of the meats.
- Optional: Spread condiments on the top half of the rolls.
- Stack and Cut:
- Place the top half of the sliced rolls over the layered meats and cheese.
- Keep the sandwich stack in the paper tray for stability.
- Use a sharp knife to cut the sandwiches into individual portions while they are still in the tray.
- Packaging:
- After cutting, carefully place the sandwiches back into the original bag they came in to save money and reduce waste.
- For added freshness and convenience, put the bag of sandwiches inside a gallon-sized freezer bag.
- Optional Veggies:
- If you prefer veggies, pack them separately in small containers or plastic bags.
- Add veggies to your sandwich just before eating to prevent sogginess.
- On-the-Go Enjoyment:
- These stacked slider sandwiches are perfect for road trips, lake days, beach outings, or any on-the-go adventure.
- Simply grab a sandwich whenever hunger strikes and enjoy a delicious, mess-free meal!
Note: Feel free to customize the sandwich fillings according to your preferences. The key is to keep the ingredients separated until you’re ready to eat to maintain freshness and prevent sogginess
