Ingredients:
- 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
- 2 tablespoons taco seasoning mix
- 4 large flour tortillas
- Picante sauce (or salsa of your choice) for dipping
Instructions:
- In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and taco seasoning. Mix well until the taco seasoning is evenly incorporated into the cream cheese.
- Lay out the flour tortillas on a clean surface or a large cutting board.
- Spread an even layer of the cream cheese and taco seasoning mixture over each tortilla, leaving a small border around the edges.
- Carefully roll up each tortilla tightly to form a log or cylinder.
- Wrap the rolled tortillas in plastic wrap and place them in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to allow them to set.
- After the pinwheels have chilled, remove them from the refrigerator and unwrap them.
- Use a sharp knife to slice the rolled tortillas into bite-sized pinwheels, approximately 1/2 to 1 inch thick.
- Arrange the pinwheels on a serving platter.
- Serve with picante sauce or your favorite salsa as a dipping sauce on the side.
- Enjoy your creamy taco pinwheels with a flavorful picante sauce dip!
Note: Feel free to get creative and customize the recipe by adding additional ingredients such as diced tomatoes, shredded lettuce, or grated cheese to the cream cheese mixture before spreading it on the tortillas.
