Little Smokies and Biscuits
Ingredients:
Two packages of little smokies
1 cup of BBQ sauce
One can of biscuits
1 cup of cheddar cheese
Directions:
Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Grease Baking Dish: Grease a 9×13 baking dish to prevent the dish from sticking. You can use cooking spray or a light coating of oil.
Prepare Little Smokies: Arrange the little smokies in an even layer at the bottom of the greased baking dish.
Add BBQ Sauce: Pour the BBQ sauce evenly over the little smokies. Use a spatula or spoon to mix the smokies and coat them thoroughly in the BBQ sauce.
Add Cheese: Sprinkle a generous handful (about half) of the cheddar cheese over the smokies and BBQ sauce mixture. This layer of cheese adds a delicious melty goodness to the dish.
Prepare Biscuits: Open the can of biscuits and quarter each biscuit. You can do this by cutting each biscuit into four equal pieces.
Arrange Biscuits: Place the quartered biscuits on top of the smokies and sauce mixture in the baking dish. Spread them out evenly, covering the surface.
Top with Cheese: Sprinkle the remaining half of the cheddar cheese over the top of the biscuits. This will create a golden, cheesy crust as it bakes.
Bake: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes or until the biscuits are golden brown and cooked through. Keep an eye on them to avoid over-browning.
Serve: Once out of the oven, allow the dish to cool for a few minutes before serving. The biscuits will be soft and flaky, and the smokies will be infused with the delicious BBQ flavor.
