Lazy Taters Casserole
Ingredients:
- 2 boxes au gratin or scalloped potatoes with sauce packets
- 2 cups hot water
- 2 cups milk
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- 1 can corn, drained
- 1 package diced ham or smoked sausage
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup shredded cheese (optional, any kind you prefer)
- 1 teaspoon chicken Better than Bouillon (optional)
Instructions:
- Preparation: Grease the slow cooker insert lightly to prevent sticking.
- Combine Ingredients: In the slow cooker, mix together the contents of both boxes of au gratin or scalloped potatoes with their sauce packets, hot water, milk, and cream of chicken soup until well combined.
- Add Corn and Meat: Stir in the drained can of corn and the diced ham or smoked sausage into the potato mixture.
- Seasoning: Season with salt and pepper to taste. If using, add the chicken Better than Bouillon for extra flavor.
- Optional Cheese: If desired, sprinkle the shredded cheese over the top of the mixture for extra cheesiness.
- Cooking: Cover and cook the mixture on high for approximately 4 hours. Ensure that the potatoes are cooked through and the flavors have melded together.
- Serve: Once fully cooked, serve the Lazy Taters hot directly from the slow cooker. Enjoy this delicious and easy-to-make comfort food!
